Strategy Game?

Hi folks
My lad wants me to put a strategy game on the PC for us to play.
I havent played one for years. I did used to enjoy Settlers (game not the tablets ).

What do you recommend ?

Mind you if you want to be a cheap skate I did just buy a game called Armies of Exigo for the pc for a fiver off of amazon and its surprisingly (for the price), really good.

AoE 2 is defo the current leader then....

Make sure you get the conquerors expansion. You can probably get them both together dead cheap and aoe2 is no where near as good without it.

It depends what type of strategy you're looking for...

Futuristic - Starcraft, Command&Conquer, W40000: Dark Crusade.

Fantasy - Warcraft III, Heroes Of Might & Magic, Battle For Middle-Earth II.

Historic - Age of Wonders II + Expansion, Europa Universalis, Medieval: Total War.

But yes, Age Of Wonders II is fun not for days or weeks... for months surely, propably for years.
