Rooney for Bale- Would Spurs do it? Would United do it?

It looks a fairly equal exchange to me, both teams look likely to be in the Champions League but with United guaranteed a place it would give Bale added security- and if Spurs qualify I think Rooney would work well for the Spurs.

Spurs have a wage structure. They wont pay his wages.
Why do you want to swap rooney for anyone.. we can get decent money for him... and we can sign a top striker for that much + his freed up wages.
