Still No Defensive Midfielder

For several years now, majority of United fans, pundits (and ironically even Klopp mentioned it) believed that a DMF should have been our top priority. Yet none was signed.

Now we are close to 85 millions signing of FdJ and are linked to a number of other players but none are DMF.

Strange, huh?

I assume EtH wants entire team to defend and doesn't see a value in a specialist DMF. Maybe he thinks he can train our midfield and defense accordingly, but is that realistic?

Will we never need more defensive formation? We don't even have Matic anymore, ffs!

Lisandro is effing amazing. I watched a video of his long forward passes - my God! World class. No idea why he wasn't the top target from the beginning. But converting a CB into DMF sounds iffy and unlikely?

I think the reason we went for Lisandro over someone like Torres is because of his ability to play as a DM. It gives us the tactical flexibility. He can play as in defence as a two, so he'll help cover there, if we play a back 3 he can play the furthest left, or if we need a DM he'll be the one to fill in that role.
