Seriously though. I quite rate the jug-eared scouser from what I've seen of him.

So you think that pre-season games are important now? I can see that you think it is better to win all your games against no-marks and part timers rather than play class opposition because of the bragging rights it gives you.
If you think wright is better than babbel then you obviously see the game differently to most people.

Thats just the way it goes. Last season's Charity shield was just a show case that meant nothing. This season's community shield was vital and said a lot about the team that lost it.
I don't think Wright is better than Babbel, but if you have a young, talented englishman you would expect the manager to give him a go.
Anyway, if United had gone in with an enquiry, the scouse wud probably have mentioned 5 mil pounds!
