If Giggs and Veron are still out:

----------Barthez-----------
G.Nev--Brown--Rio--Silvestre
Becks--Keane--Scholes---Ole
---------Forlan--RVN--------

Bench:

O'Shea
Butt
Richardson
Carrol
Pugh

If Veron is back then Veron will go on for Forlan, with Ole moving forward and Scholes getting the free role again. Forlan will then replace Pugh on the bench.

If Giggs is back, he'll go on the bench for Richardson - or may even still sit out this game.

No place for Blanc again.. I honestly don't see him renewing his contract end of this season.

How about playing O'shea on the left wing and letting Ole play up front with Ruud.

This alows us to have a very hard midfield and John is more than capable of it.

Just a thought....

Agree with u on this one...but I think we should let Giggs back now...and play the 4-5-1...with Becks,Keano,Veron,Scholes and Giggs......with RVN upfront..

If Giggs is fit we must play him. He's got to get back into top form if we are going to win anything this season. Yes I think he's that important as without him our attack lacks pace and dimension.

If Ryan is not fit I would try Mickey in a left sided midfield role with JOS, arguably our player of the season so far, in at LB. I do not like either Ole or PS out wide on the left.

Either way I would continue with the Ruud / Scholes partnership up front which means Ole will start on the bench.

Barthez
G Neville Brown Rio Silvestre (O'Shea)
Becks Veron Keane Giggs (Silvestre)
Scholes Ruud

Bench
Carroll
P Neville
O'Shea/N Butt
D Forlan
K Richardson

Sorry, Ole on the bench for either Forlan or Richardson. I would be reluctant to leave KR out completely as I think he needs the experience to develop.

Bart
Gaz - Rio - Wes - Micky
Becks - Seba - Keane - Ole
Scholes
Ruud

Say what you like but this will be our team.

Agreed, but a mistake to have Ole on the left against a good side like Chelsea, surely ?

I'd give it a go. The guy has been awesome this season & seems capable of playing anywhere on the park. He's better than OGS on the left side & we need Ole striking against Chelsea IMO.

I think you are saying this will be the team Fergie has in mind, assuming Ryan is unfit, not the one we would select necessarily. However I would go for a left footer down the left in an attacking role. Maybe it's time to give Richardson a start if you don't like Mickey tried there. We definitely need pace somewhere which is, dare I say it, Arsenal's big strength.

You're right. Let's face it, over the last few years Fergie's line-ups against the big boys have been predictable (save last year when he dropped Becks against Leeds away). We know he wants Seba & Keano to click, and Scholes will play. I have a feeling Giggs will be back, replacing Ole though :0

yeah I agree but I would ratherhave JOS as RB and also I think Ole will play More upfront rather than in midfield with Scholes covering for his defensive duties when needed

So you're saying that reputation counts over form then.

No..I feel that it'z a big match and putting all the players in their respective positions would be better...rather than experimenting...OGS is not awesome on the left...and Giggs had enough rest so we should play him...

I think Giggs should sit one or two more matches. What good will he do us if he is crap again this weekend? When he goes missing, it's like playing with 10 men.

Besides, I like the idea of trying O'Shea on the left. He is a great player and I think he can handle it.

Fab
Gary – Wes – Mike – JOS
Becks – Phil (Seba if he’s fit) – Keano – Giggs
Paul
RVN

Imho it would be too risky play Rio. He can do a fatal mistake. I know he’s our future, he need practice and will improve as Seba did… But not next Saturday please.
