Stapleton

Kin'ell boring, easy on the sidesplitting humour...

I gotta say, listening to Frank Stapleton can only be described as 'the insomniacs cure', ive never heard the guy sound pleased at a united performance, always finds a way to take the shine off a good win.

One of my fav. United players was Frank Stapleton. Always seemed pleased enough to me, and refers to United as "we".

There's no-one more boring or miserable than Paul Parker.

Stapleton is as boring and miserable man as you are likely to meet.

Supposed to be infamously tight-fisted.

Morrissey found him "strangely sexy" though.

oohhhhh frankie, frankie..... frankie, frankie frankie stapllllle-ton

He now sounds more Utd than Arse (I believe) because of the stick he got going back to Highbury as a Utd player  <img src="graemlins/devil.gif" border="0" alt="[Devil]" />

He and Liam (Brady) left at the same time. Now,ask yourself why Stapleton was despised after leaving by the Highbury faithful and Liam was still idolised??

Dont talk shite Gillespie.

You consider him a striking legend.

We found him irritating.

I met Frankie Frankie in NY once when he was manager of NE Revolution... I concur... boring unfriendly cnut.

When Hughes was just starting out Stapleton was his mentor, but Hughes would still rather shoot than pass (from anywhere).

Eventually they started to refuse to pass to each other. For some reason, despite paying good money, it was great to watch.

Their heading techniques couldnt have been more different; Stapleton would hardly move a muscle as his whole body drifted towards the ball, the ball would then rocket into the net. Whereas Hughes would throw everything at it, starting from his laces, and the ball gently lob over the keeper (if he was lucky). :D
