Im over here!
Been watching a few Adult comedy DVD's lately...

Anyone suggest any decent ones?

Eddie Murphy - Delerious and Raw are by far the best in my opinion.

Chubby has had a few good ones, as has Manning.

Lee Evans and Ricky Gervais ones are not bad.

Kevin Bloody Wilson - great songs.

Who should I look out for? Any other funny ones?

Jimmy Carr Live is pretty funny.

It's on TV links, go to shows, then standup comedy, then find Jimmy Carr live.

Watch Ricky Gervais Politics and Animals. Those 2 are hilarious.

Eddie Murphy Delirious and Raw are pretty good too.

I've grown out of Lee Evans. Eccentric but he's not funny.

Bits and Pieces- Pablo Francisco
Live in San Franciso, Killing them Softly, For What It's Worth- Dave Chappelle
Vicious Circle- Dane Cook
Monster- Dylan Moran
Bring the Pain- Chris Rock
Dressed to Kill, Definite Article- Eddie Izzard

My favourites:

The Original Kings Of Comedy - Featuring Steve Harvey, D.L. Hughley, Cedric the Entertainer, Bernie Mac

Eddie Murphy - Delirious
Eddie Murphy - Raw
Dave Chappelle - For What It's Worth
Dave Chappelle - Killing Them Softly
Doug Stanhope - Sicko
Charlie Murphy - Stand Up ATL

Bill Bailey and Lee Evans are the best around at the moment, comic genioussses

Bits and Pieces- Pablo Francisco
Live in San Franciso, Killing them Softly, For What It's Worth- Dave Chappelle
Vicious Circle- Dane Cook
Monster- Dylan Moran
Bring the Pain- Chris Rock
Dressed to Kill, Definite Article- Eddie Izzard

Gotta agree with all 3, the live in san fran is pretty rare...

I'm seeing Ricky Gervais live tonight. I can't wait. I'll let you know what it's like.
I dislike Gervais with a passion. I think everything he's ever done has been poor, Office excepted, and I don't understand his popularity at all.

However, that thing he did on Comic Relief (I think) where the African kid was telling him about how his brother died etc etc, and Gervais was crying, and it all turned out to be fake, was one of the funniest moments in the history of television.

 That was absolute quality. Stephen Merchant did a stand-up at a gig i was at, and was actually bloody funny.

I must advise anyone who hasn't seen Pablo Francisco's 'Bits and Pieces' to download it. Everybody who I've shown it to really enjoyed it.

anyone here like russell peters?

I've only seen one of his shows but I thought he was quite good.

My Favorites,

Chris Rock - Bring the pain

Eddie Murphy - Delirious/Raw

Eddie Izzard - Definite Article/Dressed to Kill

Bill Bailey - Part Troll

Lee Evans - Any of them

Dylan Moran is fecking spot on

Chapelle class act

Chris Rock is a genius

Chubby and Manning are the most unfunny shit tards to walk the earth...jim davidson is not far behind in the room one o Ihni binni dimi diniwiny anitaime stakes

Bill Hicks, Richard Pryor, Denis Leary, Peter Kay, Lee Evans and Chris Rock.

^^^^^
What he said....can't believe it took so long for Pryor & Hicks to get mentioned.
The 2 best ever....plus have to add in Billy Connolly for comedy from a different view than the Americans.

I'm seeing Ricky Gervais live tonight. I can't wait. I'll let you know what it's like.

Criticisms: it seemed over rehearsed; there wasn't much spontanaity. There was also no audience interaction. I like it when you feel like you're watching a different show depending on what night you go (Eddie Izzard is excellent at making each show different), and that definitely didn't happen with Ricky Gervais. The one that comes out on DVD will be identical to the night I saw him.

Positives: there was one point in which I literally couldn't breathe because I was laughing so hard. He touched on all the classic issues: AIDS, famine, rape, the nazis, etc and really did make them funny; and not in a "I'm just saying this to shock you and be as un-PC as possible" kind of way, but in an original clever kind of way. And he seems more confident on stage than he did with Animals and Politics. I also had amazing seats.

So overall, I thought he was quality. But I like him. So if he's not your thing, this show won't sway your opinion of him, but otherwise, I'd highly recommend it. Plus, this is his last UK tour in ages so it would be worth seeing him in the flesh before he heads off to the States.

Richard Pryor is by far my favourite, his joke about when he shot his own car during a fight with his wife and then the police came for him nearly made me keel over. Utter legend. Watched the extras on Extras last night (that sounds wierd ) "Taping Nigel" is well worth a watch, Gervais is a funny odd little man. As for Bill Bailey, major fan, ive got I've my tickets for the 3rd November all ready and waiting.

i started a thread like this, but no one replied.. oh well, chris rock's "bigger and blacker" is my favorite. dave chappelle's killing them softly, russel peters, jimmy carr, kat williams.

eddie izzard is another brilliant one. i have his D2K on CD.
no one's mentioned Eddie Griffin's "Dysfunktional Family"

the popular comedians i am not a fan of are:
carlin (i feel like he just shoves his views down ppl's throats)
eddie murphy- (cusses way too much and gets annoying)
lee evans- (annoying voice... and just isn't funny)
chubby- not funny
margaret cho- fugly... and not funny
