Dutch defender Jaap Stam wants to return to Manchester - to sign for Kevin Keegan's City.
The former Manchester United defender is currently at cash-strapped Italian club Lazio, but intriguingly wants to join United's oldest enemy.
"I know there is interest in me in Italy from Inter, AC Milan and Juventus," said Stam.
"But the biggest interest is in England, particularly Manchester City, and that is a move that would really appeal to me," Stam added in the Sunday Mirror.
Liverpool and Newcastle are also reportedly interested in Stam.
United claim they are still owed £12million by Lazio and so the Rome club would not block any realistic bid by Manchester City.
