Many people have come out saying that the IPL has affected how India play test cricket. That India is playing too aggresively. With 34.3 overs gone, India are going at 4.14 RPO. Do you think they are right? Do you think this is good or bad for Indian cricket and for world cricket all together.

Well Mendis does his stuff again. Right now, it seems like the best players of spin in the world have no clue how to play him.
About the IPL question, i'm not sure really. A lot of the Indian run rate was influenced by Sehwag and he was playing this way long before the IPL was a twinkle in Modi's eye. Its the next generation i'd be more concerned about. We don't seem to be producing technically good players any more - its all instinct, hand-eye co-ordination and power.

Tendulkar has scored 81 in five innings so far. His series average of 16.20 is his lowest in a series of two Tests or more.
Dravid has averaged 16; only twice has he averaged lesser, during the 1999-2000 Australia tour and in the one-off Test during the ICC Super Series.
Ganguly's average of 15.60 is the lowest among the four, while Laxman has done the best, scoring 30.80 per innings.
Laxman has been dismissed all five times by Ajantha Mendis, scoring just 60 runs off 108 deliveries against him. Dravid has made 34 off 78 and got out thrice. Both Ganguly and Tendulkar have not been dismissed by Mendis:

Here was a good chance to cement our place as the best side after Australia instead we once again blew it.
And it does not look good. No one is really geared up to take over from the big 4. Yuvraj is a fat track bully, he won't have lasted two overs against Murali and Mendis. Dhoni was a big miss, I suppose. He is the one who has actually become a reliable batsman over last year.

Yup, our Test side suddently looks weak and I can't even think of any replacements. I also don't like the integration of T20 players in to our ODI squad.
guys like rohit sharma, raina, badrinath etc need to be given a chance now.

Only the last test counts, though. We used the same rules at school. . .basically 'last goal wins', even though one side maybe losing by 20 goals.
