Who's your winner guys? I can't look any further than Murray personally. Phenomenal achievement.

Anyone shocked by the nominees? It would have been nice for Ronnie O'Sullivan to get a nod. Not playing the game competitively for an entire season to turn up and tear apart a world class field was awesome to watch.

Surprised there's no Gareth Bale?

What ya' reckon?

Murray will 100% win it and fully deserved, achieved something that nobody thought would ever be seen in this country. In recent years there's been hardly anyone deserving of this award but again this year you could make a case for a few people.

Andy Murray to win for me.

Top 4 should be any combination of Farah, Bell and Froome.

Ever?

But yeah Andy deserves it.

Januzaj is up for young sports personality of the year, no idea why

Young Sports Personality of the Year 2013 shortlist revealed

Ten contenders have been shortlisted for the BBC's Young Sports Personality of the Year 2013 award.
Athletes Dina Asher-Smith, Jessica Judd and Isaac Towers feature along with swimmers James Guy and Amy Marren.
Shooter Amber Hill, golfer Charley Hull, footballer Adnan Januzaj, weightlifter Rebekah Tiler and canoeist Kimberley Woods also make the list.

I've got tickets for this...should be a good night!

He'll get nowhere, but Justin Rose merits a huge amount of credit for winning that US Open on one of the hardest courses ever played. His final round was mesmerising and among the greatest of the modern era, in my view. He'll still come 9th.

Agreed, a fabulous performance right up there with even winning Wimbledon in my opinion.

Unfortunately I think sports like Golf will have a hard time as it's not such an intense moment of victory, barring the magic we have seen recently at Ryder Cups, and of course not as widely followed as the whole country tuning into Wimbledon religiously every year.

great tribute to Fergie

how lucky we were to have him - he really enhanced our lives with so many amazing memories

Anyone else think Lineker was bringing Keane on then? I reckon Fergie wasn't sure for a moment

Murray's got this surely. Bit embarrassing that he's not actually there. Surely that's a first.

Well deserved by Murray.Be very surprised if he got overlooked.

If he really cared about this he'd have turned up. Just when he'd started to endear himself a bit this could have set him back again. Doubt he gives a shit though.
