There today in abundance.

Missed chances frustrating, but because of the commitment and the spirit of the team, they didn't matter in the end.

Great team performance imo.

But I have to say, I prefer Silvestre and Brown as a partnership.

Play him with Veron up front - they showed great teamwork for the opening goal.....

When there was a 50-50 penalty shout, on the whole the lads just ignored and got on with the play, which i thought was nice.

Also, Rio swore very loudly which was picked up on and as an Under 18 i was both stunned and offended

Not my problem I'm glad to say.

30m or not tho, Silvestre and Wes had the makings of a superb partnership.

I don't go along with all this crap about players having to play just because they cost a lot of money.

In form players should play and others should have to fight to regain their place when the opportunities present as they always will. What does it do for motivation otherwise? Phil Neville must be right gutted to have played as well as he can, and be back on the bench.

Isn't it funny how no-one was ever allowed to voice the opinion that Veron, or Blanc, or Forlan, were shite.

Yeah - but Ole was shite......

Well in front of goal he was.

And I wasn't so much meaning you, as meaning the fact that no-one is ever backward in coming forward when Ole has a bad game, but other players are beyond reproach.

You can't deny it!

I think it takes defenders more games than anyone else to settle in. Pallister gave away a penalty in his first performance (nightmare watching it from the Stretty) and really took the best part of a season to look the part. Rio will no doubt prove to be a class player for us - but he's not really shown that yet. Makes the breakthrough by O'shea and the form of Wes and Mickey all the more priceless - defence is not our problem this year.

he's already a legend in my book..... even if he has the odd bad game, that can't be denied.

and no! he doesn't get stick at all for having a mediocre match! maybe a few on here, like to wind up his biggest fan ;)

maybe.... pally took a season to settle in, 'a 2.3 mil pudding' ..but become a top player for us... Stam took a few games n'all....but he settled in quick IMO.

i think playmakers/midfielders find it hardest to settle.

One of the reasons I'm his biggest fan is because of the amount of stick - undeserved - that he's had. How many times have people on here said he shouldn't be playing from the start??? And not wind-ups.

he's a not a star like Becks or Giggs..but he's been as important over the past few years... as for the 'he shouldn't start' bullshit...anyone that knows his record will know that he's much better from the start....

class act.

veron and fab have had more stick, livvie....hence why iam always quick to defend them..... (alot of it is ABU stuff)
