I am not sure this happens in football at the professional level. I know we do have separate goalkeeping coaches. But, do we also have defense coaches, midfield coaches and attack coaches? To me it makes a lot of sense to have this kind of specialized training done.
Pardon me if my knowledge is not accurate, but I think we do not have a defense coach. And I think the first guy we can get in that role should be Laurent Blanc. Unofficially, as a player, he has been doing it already. Just make it something official while keeping him at the only warm place in Northern England - Old Trafford
