Is there any option caf can provide like a link with <mark as spam> especially in the football related discussions...may be a color change after it gets flagged by more than five posters.

Posters given rights to flag off certain posts and moderators can make a decision.

That sounds like a lot of unnecessary effort for the mods. Although there is far too much spam here like, far too much. At least the Berbatov thread gone, it was the worst.

Report post only works out for full blooded spazzers. It triggers unncessary mails to all mods and admins,

There's a vBulletin plugin which stuffs all the reported posts into a forum so these emails can be disabled, mind.

It wouldn't take much to write a utility in php if its not already there.

We do have a spam filter, its called Bury Red

On a serious note, flagging off posts that can disable quote options can help mods a lot in picking out and controlling spamming.

Worth a try if its possible.
