I'm not saying the U.S. perfect, not by a long shot; That said I think it is weak that you deflect something that is clearly racist that Spain(and seems to do quite a lot in sport) onto the US. "well the US isnt perfect, so I guess that justifies us doing the slanty eyes"
Muslims are treated better here than most other places in the world, why else would so many immigrate here if it were otherwise

Agreed. I'm Chinese. I actually like having the small eyes. Helps keep the sun out when it's too bright.

I'm Indian and it's funny when other people get outraged at racism towards us in our stead, I find it childish and just ignore it. Or if it's funny, I laugh.

The US is just hyper sensitive in this situation. I think its probably a non-event for many countries. However the US media has to talk about something and the obvious outrage of this act must be addressed ;p

It is just a symptom of a society that has had serious issues in the past. Germany as you pointed out would be one. However that isn't to say that every nation on earth is as sensitive to things that may or may not be actually racist.
If anything it is a form of flattery, we all know white kids who wish they were black. The fact they dress like certain elements of the black community, talk like it and wish they were actually apart of, it is not racist. Slanting your eyes for a picture isn't racist either.

I guess cosidering some of their much worse racist acts that are widespread in Spanish football, this isn't that bad. I don't think the Chinese will take offense, but it's better to err on teh side of caution in these situations.
Stupid but they are going to be punished by the NBA for doing an advert as instructed to do by the Spanish team seems a tad unfair.
