According to the Sunday Mirror we are watching Boro's Gareth Southgate. He is 31 and I very much doubt SAF has even considered him.
Also, Juan Sebastian Veron is apparently wanted by Barca. 25m has been mentioned.
The Mail on Sunday thinks Wenger is gonna go for Stam. Never happen, but then maybe Lazio could pay us back.

Finally...

Newcastle will sign Titus Bramble by June for 5m.

That Bobby Robson certainly knows a bargain when he sees one !

I've always been impressed by Bramble. But, like Brown, his failing seems to be the unwillingness to shout and organize his defence.
