'I would like to bring Dwight Yorke here,' Souness told the Lancashire Evening Telegraph.

'If we could afford to do the deal then I'd like to bring him here, but right now the asking price is beyond our valuation given that he's entering the last year of his contract.'

Asked about reports of a swap deal involving Republic of Ireland international Duff, Souness added: 'There's nothing in that. I've not spoken to anyone from Manchester United in regard to Damien Duff. :(

'We've made an enquiry and asked for a price for Dwight Yorke and we've been told that price, which is too much for us. <img src="graemlins/annoyed.gif" border="0" alt="[Annoyed]" />

'But there has never been any mention of Damien Duff in that deal.'

Will he ever leave ?

Chauffeur Uniforms don't come cheap these days.

If he stays over the close season I doubt he will ever play again. At OT or anywhere. Fergie clearly wants nothing to do with him.
