Right have been a bit out of it, but saw Sorin playin for Barca, so where when and how, but more importantly should we have got him?

Yes Yes Yes. Cause he can play any where one the left solidly and skillfully but sadly it never happened.
I saw him last night as well and was wondering exactly the same thing 
Watching it now on sky sports 1 while i am off sick .He does look like a good player but would he qualify and be able to keep a work permit because i can't see him nudging out Giggs or Silvestre for a length of time.

Some of his runs and all round play was good yesterday although he did look rusty compared to his WC performances.
I think in terms of taking on Giggs, he cant and wont get his position, but importantly it does allow us tochange our tactics and would give us a really solid midfield.
Based on the world cup he and Silvestre are similar in their maurauding runs down that left.
Just think its a shame we didnt get him as he was probably cheap and we need more options (aka cover) down the left

I think its quite a strange situation as he was only on loan from Cruzerio of Brazil to Lazio this season. He only got 3 of his 6 months wages and was going to sue them along... in fact he was the only player who tried to carry through the legal action despite many of them saying they would. He was entitled to have his contract torn up from Lazio but apparently because he hadnt informed his club he was being paid Lazio still had the right to sign him but they turned it down.
He is still only on loan at Barca and he is unlikley to sign untill the new coach is announced etc. So he may be available in the summer.
He is a very good player but im not sure he would come to Man Utd as he is 26 and would want first team football and I doubt he would push silvestre or Giggs out of the first team. I would love to see him at OT as cover but doubt we will.
