Valued at over £9 million, Sorin has an agreement to join Lazio and is expected to move to Rome before the start of pre-season training.
However, Italian media reports last night say Lazio may be willing to hand over Sorin as part of the outstanding payment still owed for Jaap Stam's move from Old Trafford.
