We all have a present favourite song. It could be some new hit that's stuck in your head, some new band you've discovered but eventually you get tired of hearing them. However, there are some songs that you come back to and which sounds just as good as the first time you heard them. Some of my favourites that I never tire of hearing:

Dire Straits - Tunnel of Love (shit quality)

The guitar solo at the end is just amazing. Effortless beauty.

Queen - Don't Stop Me Now

The ultimate feel-good song?

Simon and Garfunkel - The Boxer

Just beautiful.

So what songs do you always come back to, caftards?

Mercury Rev - Something for Joey

Spiritualized - Shine a Light

My Bloody Valentine - Only Shallow

I had to arbitrarily limit myself to early 90s indie in order to be able to post less than 300 videos.

Bruce Springsteen - Thunder Road

Bruce Springsteen - The Promise

Thunder Road and its follow up song The Promise always come back into my head, brilliant.

Bob Dylan - Mr Tambourine Man

Love it, its such a stunning song I have nothing else to say about it.

Nils Lofgren - Man in the Moon

Fantastic song from an album of the highest quality acoustic music.

This is basically the same list as a "songs I love" list. By no means a definite list, but these are songs I don't tire of.

Metallica - No Leaf Clover

Disturbed - Stricken

Nightwish - Ghost Love Score

So, so many - too may to post. Here's a few, though --

Nirvana (UK) - Pentecost Hotel

"And leave me there as master of the ocean
There underneath blue waves
The sunrise spreads blue rays
And Pentecost Hotel sheds all its cobwebs ..."

Duncan Browne - On The Bomb Site

"Those were days of wooden swords
When dragons would appear,
I was Lancelot and you were Guinevere..."

Care Of Cell 44 - The Zombies

"Saved you the room you used to stay in every Sunday
The one that is warmed by sunshine every day
And we'll get to know each other for a second time
And then you can tell me 'bout your prison stay...

Feels so good...
You're coming home soon!"

Stone Roses - I am the Resurrection

"Don't waste your words I don't need anything from you
I don't care where you've been or what you plan to do

I am the resurrection and I am the light
I couldn't ever bring myself to hate you as I'd like"

The Pixies - Debaser

I simply have to add --

The Jesus And Mary Chain - Upside Down

Chuck Wood - Seven Days Too Long

They Might Be Giants - Ana Ng

"...and we still haven't walked in the glow of eachother's majestic presence!"

Sonic Youth - Schizophrenia ('Don't listen to that dude!' :))
