So I have no idea what we're going to play for our next performance but we play all styles except country so if you guys have any ideas or suggestions, feel free to let me know. There's a lot of music out there and I'm just trying to expand my musical education by playing different styles.

I tried to convince a friend of mine to play some Mark Mothersbaugh shit live, he wasnt too keen on it.

That's a great suggestion Cinc. I love Mothersbaugh's stuff, that track in particular, as well as Devo. Can't see Edmeiste's band playing it though, although I'm sure they could do an interesting interpretation.
Can you a bit more specific? Single Ladies? Something by Burzum?
He posted a few video of their performances, the latest one was from yesterday - that will help you.
Its a tall order, but with enough creativity they can pull it off. Devo would have been my other suggestion.
Since he's asking me I shouldn't be knowing his previous posts or work.
It's just basically songs you like that you would suggest for a band to play. That's all.
Try looking up Dikta on youtube. They've got great songs that's easy to warm too. I always like to hear The Cure now and again. Can't go wrong with some CCR. Don't know if that breaks your country rule. It's one the edge.
