I need info on trains from London to manchester (and back). such as hours and costs (I assume theres a website?) and an estimation, I have a flight on the 21st (sep) in 11pm in London will I make it back from the tottenham game in time for the flight ? (taking in consideration im taking the train, if there are trains on saturday).

also i'd like names of any cheap and decent bed & breakfast or anything of that kind in Manchester incase we need to stay few days in there (we are staying in London and travel by train to Manchester for the Haifa game, mayeb staying for the spurs game).

thanks in advance, the traveling crembo ;)

Thanks, I should have checked that thread before posting.
I still need info on places to stay in Manchester tho so if anyone knows i'd be glad.

Can't help you too much in Manchester I'm afraid, although, there's a place on Bury New Road in Salford... Can't remember it's name though, sorry.

If you don't mind public transport etc. there are plenty of places outside Manchester that'd be cheaper. Chapel-en-le-Frith, Buxton (where I went to college) and the Hope Valley (where I'm from) have some really nice places that are quiet and safe.

Anyway, good luck. :)

Used to be a bit dodgy round there back in the day, I've heard it's changed a bit since then though.

whatever the travelling times quoted by train add at least 1.5 hours, as a substantial part of the 'train' journey has to be done by bus becasue of track work every weekend. Euston to Heathrow by public transport is at least an hour if not more. There is no chance of you making an 11.00pm flight if you take the train after the Spurs match

Make that gatewick (it's even further right ?).
anyway if we can't find a later flight back home I guess i'll miss the spurs game :(
maybe i'll watch it somewhere in London, anyone know of a place who won't be crawling with ABUs where I could watch ?

Ironically if this is a normal 3.00pm Saturday match then there is nowhere in the UK you will be able to see the match live, unless you can find a bar which has satellite and beams the match in from abroad

oh, well I read that it will be shown on White Hart Lane on screens or something, might end up there, as much as i'd hate it.
I wonder if theres an away end at those kind of events too <img src="graemlins/lol.gif" border="0" alt="[Laugh Out Loud]" />
