I got Roma into 1st place in a kind of world league, but kept forgetting all about the game and they shut my account down
 
So for some reason Balliotelli is playing in League two with Dagenham....I've just bid 14mil for him. Small change in comparison to the 30 mil I've just bid for Cambiasso.....who plays for Sunderland :lol:

I've only got about 6 million. Then again my squads got some decent players in it anyway.

Is there anything to the tactics in this game? Last time I went right into the tactics at first and seemed to be very up and down, winning some, losing some that I should have won etc. Then I forgot about the game for a few matches, logged back in and I'd won them all and was top of the league - with injured players, and no forward planning for any of the games

SoccerManager.com has a sophisticated match engine that will look at many factors (for example player fitness, player rating, player morale, tactics, who is home and away etc) to help calculate results.
 
Wierd transfer set up. There's top players at all the mediocre teams in the league, then if you go to Barcelona to look for players to buy, their team is full of nobodies
 
Used to play but got extremely bored with all the waiting for games. FM all the way :D
 
I forgot about this until i saw a few e-mails come through. I go back to check how my team is doing and i'm top of the league!

Just put in a bid for Messi so we'll see how it goes.
 
I've got a Milan with whom I've won the league 3 times out of 5, a mid-table Chelsea, and I just took over a Bayern Munich. In all of them I started with a second division club.

I might quit Chelsea and join one of your leagues.
 
486 isnt appearing on my list of game worlds :(
 
I completely fecked this. Forgot about its existence completely after re-signing up when this thread started and now I'm out of the game
 
I've been playing this for a while.

I scraped through the 2nd div. playoffs and made the top flight in my 1st season with Ajax.

In my 2nd season now and i've just won the World Champion's Cup and i'm 2nd in the league....3 points behind Real Madrid.

Doing the double would be a massive achievement for me. My team pales in comparison to the rest of the galactico-esque teams in the league....some of whom are paying almost 2M p/w in wages compared to my 800k.

Not a great squad but it has depth and is a young one with plenty of potential risers in there.

I managed to get mega money for Luis Suarez and snaffle Torres, Babel & Santon off a mate who was quitting the league. Torres came to me with a broken shoulder and missed the first 15 or so games of the season....but Huntelaar has been class.

I use Sulejmani as a winger in the '4-3-3 wingers' formation and he is banging goals in for me. He's had two hatricks this season. Chicharito plays my cup games most of the time and does well....he scored a brace in my 5-0 smashing of Spurs in the cup final. :D

As far as the game itself goes, the match engine can be terrible at times. I have had my fully fit first squad beaten by an inferior team with 5 or 6 players that were 'not match fit'. Two of the players were less than 40% fitness FFS!

Good web-based game i guess, but no FM.
 
i took over my local team Cheltenham about a month ago in Div486, they were struggling down near the bottom of league 4 with 5 straight losses but sitting on a £16m transfer kitty.

Within a few weeks ive pulled them up nearly into the playoff spots and for the 6 league games ive been in charge its won 5, lost 1, whilst getting thumped 7-0 by chelsea in the cup.

Things are looking quite good although ive used up pretty much the entire transfer kitty now, but the squad has been almost completely overhauled with lots of younger, higher rated players than what was there before.

if anyone playing in 486 fancies sending some good players over on loan to me, just gimme a shout! ;)
 
whoever is wigan in the 486 world signed our new lad Bebe YESTERDAY on the 10th. Sounds to me like there is an ITK at work.
