Fending off the urge
I'm sometimes confused as to what's the way it should be. Too much game and people say a player needs a break. Too much bench and we say they need game time.
Same goes with preseason. Should it be used to rest after a long season? Or should it be filled with hard training to build stamina?
I'm assuming that a player that doesnt play for 3 match should be peak 100% condition since they train but dont get match fatigue. But at the same time people would use that as an excuse of lacking match fitness. Playing 3 games in a row and we say they need a long rest
Too hard fitness training would lead to injury? But too lack of it leads to unfit players
What say the caf?
Edit : also mixed up on younger player. They say we burn rooney out during his early days. But they also say we dont give enough time for pogba. What's the optimum here. Give youngster game time or sporadic 15 minutes here and there. You can say they need proper game but you can also say to ease them slowly
