1) Saint Michael showed that he is in fact, not world class. That miss was a sitter that Andy Cole would have polished off. Lack of a left foot really.

2) Gerrard showed he cannot control games, unlike Keano. The midfield was given the run around in the second half.

3) It proved that if they have to attack, their defense is vulnerable.

4) They are not capable to winning the CL. That Barcalona team was the worst that I can remember. It only contained two world class players (Rivaldo and Kluivert).

5) Heskey is just a big lump - Niall Quinn provides what he does and more for Sunderland.

not having watched the game (MU plc game wuz on)
1. left fooy - fa cup. he is capable of using it and he also is fallible to miss occasionally, nuff said. whereas A cole has the ability to miss consistently.
2. can't comment
3. evidence?
4. Saviola, frank de boer? and by your foums estimation we have 1 world class player: Owen.
5. does Niall quinn have pace?

to be fair...i think that Barca team is much improved and stronger compared to last season's. They have strenghtened every dept....Saviola, Patrick Andersson, Rochemback, their new keeper...etc. i think (may be wrong)..they won every of their Phase 1 matches this season.

3. Er, last night.
4. Saviola was not playing, and De Boer is a liability as a defender.
5. No, but he does score!. ;)

Yes I agree..

Without a shadow of doubt all the points you mentioned were proven last night..

All the hard work and achievement of the last 18 months ahs been blown away by that one defeat

hey, this reminds me of another 3-1 game, remember?
Beckham has scored and united look to be back in it. Liverpool throw. Browntez!!! GOAAAL!!! <img src="graemlins/lol.gif" border="0" alt="[Laugh Out Loud]" /> <img src="graemlins/lol.gif" border="0" alt="[Laugh Out Loud]" /> <img src="graemlins/lol.gif" border="0" alt="[Laugh Out Loud]" />

u will find, dipshit, that most teams tend to be vulnerable when chasing the game, perfect example: the game when real won at your place, the last goal by raul, everyone forward Rdondo on the break, pass goal...

This post has proved you know feck all about football.

Bad luck 'Pool. Owen was just unlucky that he snatched at it when he had time to let it fall, but he couldn't have known that. It is that same quick reflex that makes him deadly!
Still you will need an away win now to compensate!
Good luck! we want to see you in the later stages. It gets lonely there on our own!
:p

It was a 'kin shock to the system to realise that Owen can miss chances... ;)

Its going to be tought to get through now but we can still do it...Roma away is now crucial, must get summat out of that..

This proves that one game does not dictate how a club is going to do and what is happening to a club.

United lost one game against Liverpool and you lot think we are crap and the empire is crumbling.

Thank you for all proving my point.

:p ;)

However, most of my points were true :p

And all the hard work and achievement of United from the past 10 years of total English football domination was blown away in a couple of bad performances.

TWAT.

Point 1 was a piss take really, I'll give you that. I rate MO very highly, although I think he is overrated.

Point 2 - I believe is correct. He has not really dominated any team this season from what I have seen. Keane has been dominating midfield battles for years - that can be seen from last night.

Point 3 - Prove my opinion wrong!.

Point 4 - Again, it is the opinion of everyone I know that Liverpool cannot win the CL. And that Barca team is the worst I have seen IMHO. They are nowhere near as good as Valencia, Real or Deportivo.

Point 5 - Heskey is a complete donkey. Show me a Liverpool fan who does not think so.

And finally, just because you have no argument back, no need to get bitchy.

:p ;)

Who ever said that was the case?

Only your fans...slating your manager, players etc..

You'll change your views by lunchtime..

Utter drivel, a team that consists of 11 world class players does necessarily mean that they are the best TEAM. This is again a comment made by some armchair fan who spend too much time playing Championship Manager. It's how they play that is important, you don't win anything by counting the WC players on the team sheet.

good result, drawing away to the champions of europe. why aren't the boards crammed with people posting about the good result? over @ Koptalk there are many people having a debate.
so it seems that the mancs only come out of the cracks if they win... or are in crisis
part timers....

Piss off you wanker!. Just another stupid feckin bindipper ruining our site.

First of all I am not an armchair fan, I don't play computer games.

Clearly have 11 world class players does not gurantee success, but it sure helps.

Look at the Barca team. Their goalie is pony, a complete nobody. Christaval is good, but not outstanding, Anderson is good, but he can't be that good because Bayern sold him. De Boer is no defender, everyone knows that. Cocu is not bad. Grabi and Xavi are nothing special and Luis Enrique is not that special. Undoubtedly Rivaldo and Kluivert are class.

At the end of the day, I would only say Rivaldo and Anderson would get in the United team.

Yeah but only one win in seven league games does..... two defeats in the first phase of the champions league do... <img src="graemlins/houllier.gif" border="0" alt="[Houllier]" />

<img src="graemlins/lol.gif" border="0" alt="[Laugh Out Loud]" />

Did you see the game last night and if so did you think Barca looked a good side?

They beat us 3-1 at our place, but apparantly only 2 of their players would manage to get into a team that we thrashed earlier this month..

"Anderson can't be that good cos Bayern sold him"...brillant..

I actually thought heskey was in line for man of the match up until he came off...still miffed as to why they took him off and replaced him with fowler who was absolut piss...

The only donkeys on here are the muppets who don't rate heskey. Frank de Boer certainly does. I think wes Brown might agree also. ;)

At the end of the day, I would only say Rivaldo and Anderson would get in the United team.

hmm on current evidence the entire Barca defence would get into the Manure team.

also anderson went to spain cos they offered a hell of a lot of cash for him and they had a replacement in Kovacs (something that sir drunkenson might want to take note of)

Yes thanks, and I think Barca looked good at passing it around once they got ahead, but apart from that they never threatened that much. And their defense is terrible.

"Anderson can't be that good cos Bayern sold him"...brillant..

Bayern made the decision to sell Anderson, he did not want to go. They felt they had better players obviously, therefore he can't be that good.

How would you know Davo, you spend more time on Redcafe than Kraptalk.

I put it to you Mr Davo that you spend more time talking about Manchester United than you do Liverpool.

I put it to you that you do in fact watch more Manchester United games than Liverpool.

What are we to make of your gezillion posts at the redcafe?

We can only conclude from this that you are indeed a closet Manchester United gloryfan.

Throw off your Liverpool shackles and come and join the team you love best. Do not torture yourself living in denial anymore.

You know it makes sense.

We can ask the mods to change your name to UTDDavo without losing your post count, hows that for you?

;)

All this from the very same man that labeled RVN 'the new Andy Cole' a couple of weeks ago...

1 chance - 1 goal, say no more...

Clueless indeed... <img src="graemlins/houllier.gif" border="0" alt="[Houllier]" />

Nope I've seen enough games to know he's not the World Class 'new Van Basten' that everyone says he is... has he scored from outside the box yet?

Personall yI haven't seen a lot of people claiming he's the 'new Van Basten'.
But even if he isn't, why does that automatically make him the 'new Andy Cole'?

And I don't give a rat's arse if he scores from inside or outside the box... <img src="graemlins/houllier.gif" border="0" alt="[Houllier]" />

I have a clip of him scoring from the half-way line once for PSV though. I could send it to you if you wanna have a look...

You don't chase the game by defending on the edge of your 18 yard box. Your midfield did not go forward, all you did was hit long balls for the donkey and Owen. Where the feck was Gerrard, I thought he was supposed to be world class, no the reality is that you were caught out, you can't play any other way. You are boring the shit out of the game, I hope Sunderland give you a pasting as well.

Does that mean you watched the Utd game on Tuesday night at the expense of pool's? Hmm, it certainly explains things....

Who cares whether he scores from in or out of the box? Typical hair-splitting from dippers.

Especially funny coming from a fatso who said that RVN is the new Andy Cole but you're right about that though. They are both natural goalscorers. <img src="graemlins/lol.gif" border="0" alt="[Laugh Out Loud]" />

That old donkey and sack of potatoes of yours should study RVN - he needs to learn a thing or two about goal-scoring <img src="graemlins/lol.gif" border="0" alt="[Laugh Out Loud]" />
