Ofcource he is. The Israeli sports channel website had an article stating: 'Final: Veron wants to leave'

That proves it doesn't it?

Sometimes Softlad, I really wish it was you who was going.

Where did you dig up this latest rumour from?

It's been coming for a while Dans...

1. He hasn't settled into the Premiership.
2. His arrival, as predicted by myself and MOM, has unsettled the team formation and some of the players.
3. He was, according to Demento, bought for the big games and has so far failed to show up for most of them.
4. Fergie will sell him on in the summer for £28m, apparently he has already been touted around the top clubs in Europe (and no doubt Man City) although Lazio can't really afford him and that would be his favoured move - maybe a swap for Nesta?

1) He's had good games and bad games. Although he's not been as bad as you want to make it out, it's fair to say more is expected from him.

2) You predict the worst possible outcome for us whatever the issue is - you can't be wrong everytime

3) The most important and biggest games are yet to come - time will show, but I reckon he will play a major influence for us in the next few months

4) That's just newspaper rumours. Do you suddenly beleive everything they write?

Does that mean that:

- Hamann is going to Real Madrid
- Riise is as well
- Houllier won't return to manage you lot
- Owen will join Lazio
etc
etc???

If MO left for Real and then said his heart was still in poo, would you think he was coming back too? No, you'd understand his sentiments even though I'm sure you'd want him back ala all involved with Lazio.

- Owen will join Lazio In two or three years no doubt
etc

Difference is that Veron is forever 'keeping the door open on a move', wasn't exactly in favour of the move to Man Utd in the first place and has unsettled your midfield and in tern lead to your defence being over exposed. Fergie knows it was a mistake.

I knew you would dispute it all

Basically, in your world there's no smoke without fire, as long as it doesn't involve Liverpool

I think you and the press like to believe Veron is "keeping the door open on a move" because he cost us 28m and you all want to him fail because we're the only club in the league who could afford to spend 28m on a proven and universally acknowledged star of world football. All these rumours smack of sour grapes and demonstrate to my mind that many supporters appear to have a hobby that runs a close second to their support of their own team, that being to knock United at every available opportunity.

What Veron says is that he could never rule out a move back to Lazio. Fair enough - why should he? It doesn't mean this year or next year or any specified time. It doesn't "mean" anything other than he could see himself back there one day. When the papers misconstrue his comments and have us (or rather you) believe that he's on his bike at the end of May, he issues a statement denying it and in fact gives a full on interview, the theme of which is his contentedness at OT.

Now you'll say that he has to say that won't you? Well if that's your argument then there's no point in discussing the situation further if you flatly refuse to believe what Veron himself says.

Read it and weep Softie... Seba

Not at all, if Hamann had said 'I am contracted to LFC but I wouldn't rule out the move' then it would be a different story. I don't suppose you can see the difference though, eh Noggy?

Like yourself, I probably just see what I wanna see ;)

The difference is, you're adamant that he's going, whereas I think he will stay, but not as sure as you appear to be.

He shouldn't have to apologise for United winning the PL, with Liverpool having their highest league position of 5th place since 1988.

NO, G. ( )has alot of explaining to do for his absenteeism, and as for Phil Concorde, what a wanker.
Lets face it Softy G.( )will never be the same manager, I suppose he could always pick Phil's nose during half times,it will be the most exciting thing he'll be able for.

:p

In other words, you want to believe everything in the papers - as long as it's something negative about Utd and positive about pool

Saying that, I wouldn't mind a swap for Nesta

Noggy said that earlier and it was bollocks then too... spot the differences between Hamann's comments and those of Veron.

IMO he will go in the summer. Nothing to do with media speculation, my opinion.

So who wants a bet?

So why don't you say that from the beginning of, instead of trying to make it out as if it's a certainty that he will leave. You're basing your opinion on tabloid writing - nothing else..

According to yourself and Softy, most of our players are crap - so I can only assume there will be a mass clear-out this summer then..

So, whenever you seen him play these season, you've thought: "That lad is crap!"?

Instead of what is more a balanced view; that since October he's just not influenced our game as much as we expected and hoped..

I'm including my expectation levels in my "rating". I've seen him play brillantly before so obviously expect more of him than say Murphy.

But yes, overall I agree with your view that he has been disappointing...
