goals was Silvestre exactlly involved in today?

I couldn't see clearly in those videos from the chinese website but if i'm not mistaken:
1. He assisted for the second goal.
2. Passed the ball to Forlan to assist for the 3rd
3.He did the same thing for the second Forlan assist
4. He then hit that 50 yard ball to Ole for the last goal.

That amount of involment is amazing for a left back IMO. Only the first goal came from the right. If we want to find a replacement for Giggs, we should look no further that Silvestre (by Escude or someone for LB) since Micky isn't that good a deffender.

I've always thought he'd make a great left wing!!! He's brilliant at going foward, has fantistic pace and superb crossing ability. But I read somewhere he was peeved because SAF keeps playing him out of position at LB - he's a central defender. I think he'd be wasted there!

Same here. He has a great left foot. Remember Munich last year? Deportivo? Newcastle? He's great at crossing and probably faster (and stronger) than Giggs.

PS. He said that he wants to sign a new contract. I guess that means he likes playing LB now

It is generally perceived that Silv's biggest weakness is his crossing- how come people on this site are saying otherwise, don't argue eith me, better people tham me have said so on TV eg Mac Coist, Townsend, Linekar, Hansen, Lawronsen, Venebals, Charlton (to name but a few I've seen0
