Walter Crickmer started it all...
Large squad going out to Slovakia I believe including all of the this season's U/18 squad plus a few from the U/16's including Angel Gomes, Callum Whelan, Ethan Hamilton, Jake Kenyon and Faustin Makela.

Jimmy Dunne (injured), Timothy Fosu-Mensah (international clearance), Charlie Scott (injured) and Demi Mitchell (injured) may all go along for experience but unlikely to play.

No doubt the official site will give a full confirmed squad in the next few days.

The Schedule is as follows:

27th v Banik Ostrava

29th v Banska Bystrica

Both 17:00 CET kick-offs at the Poprad Stadium.

I believe all the U16s are going + Angel Gomes from U15s.Last chance for some of the U16s it seems.

It was a friendly so Fosu-Mensah could be allowed to play?

Last year our official site only gave squad info after the trip so I doubt it will be different this time round.

I understand all those involved at U/18 level will be going this year…that will include any U/16's who have played at that level such as Dearnley, Gribbin etc.

Gomes has been playing for U/16's for last two seasons so no brainer really.

Not sure about Mensah.

Yeah but I heard (not sure if valid) that those likely to be released but not yet released like Culperper,Taylor,Meulensteen also going.

The lads will travel to Slovakia today.Jimmy Dunne is also with them hopefully he's fit to play.

Anybody know if there will be streams again this year?

I don't think anyone on the Caf knows any of the people that put up football streams. We'll just have to see if they show up.

Granted, but if someone recalls the source of last year's stream, perhaps they could have a little look-see if something's scheduled for tomorrow. If this ain't televised or officially webcast, there won't be any streams.

Its not listed on the website from last year but I dont think it was listed until shortly before kick off last year either

Cheers. Fingers crossed, these games are thoroughly enjoyable.

Don't think we should hope for a stream this time round.Last year was just an one-off as I can't recall having a stream any year before that.

First game finished 2-0 with brace from Rashford (1 pen).

Quote from 0stman on Twitter:
Line-up: Henderson (Dorrington?), Reid (Warren 64'), Borthwick-Jackson (Scott 64'), Tuanzebe, Williams, Thompson (Whelan 74'), Riley (Kenyon 74'), Redmond (McTominay 64'), Rashford, Croskery, Rathbone (Gomes 64').

Is this an under 17 or under 18 tournament?

Under U18s friendlies.

Apparently Dunne,Makela and Fosu-Mensah are both there according to this pic:

Who's that playing Rashford through around the 3 minute mark? I thought it was Gomes at first but it ain't him.

Hard to see but I think its Makela

Yeah, it could be him. According to that dude on Twitter and the match report you posted, he wasn't involved, but I guess you gotta consider the sources.

Probably because he came on with the number 7 jersey rather than a subs number

Dunne,Fosu-Mensah and new signing Hamilton not playing despite travelling with the squad.Don't know where is Borthwick-Jackson he started the first match.

United's under 18s are winning 2-1 at half time against Banik Ostrava after going behind. Riley and Thompson scored.Rashford missed a penalty
