SL vs Pakistan 2nd Test..

Pakistan must be rubbish. Sri Lanka's bowling attack is horrible. They haven't got their regular bowlers.

Mendis and Kulusekhra are anything but horrible!

I'd kill to have a bowler like Mendis in the Indian bowling attack!

Kulasekhra is a very mediocre bowler. His bowling average is 59 in test cricket.

As for Mendis, he is not particularly talented. The main problem batsmen have with playing Mendis is they don't know which way the ball will go. He is not going to be remembered as a bowling great as Warne, Muralitharan, etc. Those are/were guys who were actually skilled and could make the ball do different things.

Mendis becomes thoroughly ineffective on pitches that don't offer a lot of turn. On tracks that do spin, batsmen aren't sure which way the ball will go, but once it does turn, it's very marginal. On tracks that don't, the ball just goes straight on, regardless of what way Mendis intends for it to spin.

I don't rate him, and I think when people figure him out(like our Indian team has), he'll be ineffective. Just look at the last ODI series he played against India. Got absolutely clattered in 3 games and was dropped for the other 2. Ended the series with 1 wicket.

Where are you from, btw? I didn't know that you're Indian.

Some fight back this is from Pakistan.

He's really come on the past few years the lad. Makes the ball swing in most of the times and makes the odd delivery swing away from the bat. Might be their next leading pace bowler.

I agree with this though. Mendis would'nt be as effective if he's been played once or twice before.

Guy from the newbies wanted me to post this.

Has anybody been keeping an eye on this game? Pakistan swing between the spectacular and the absolutely ridiculous with hardly any middle state.

They were 284 for 1 at one point having wiped out the first inning lead of 150 and taken a 134 run lead with the second biggest century by a Pakistani debutante - Fawad Alam with 168. The bowlers are looking utterly dispirited and hopeless. The second new ball is taken and they are all out for 320. 9 wickets for 36 runs. Herath gets a 5 for and Kulasekara 4.

Then Sri Lanka chase the 170 in 32 overs at over 5 an over.

You can complain about a lot of things with the Pakistani cricket team but you can't complain about lacking for entertainment.

Was watching this..

Unbelievable how they collapsed, not once, but twice.

Actually thats thrice now. Lost 8 wickets for 45 runs chasing a simple target in the first game.

All out for 90 in the 1st innings and now losing what 9 wickets for 30 odd runs ? Fun team to watch either way ..

This 3rd test is getting pretty interesting right now it must be said.

Yes. But Pakistan have an outside chance of winning. Dilshan injured. Fractured finger. May come on to bat if needed.
