Just seen on my Virgin box that channels 121, 122 and 123 are now Sky 1, 2 and 3 respectively. Where the program names should be, it says "Back on Thursday". Anyone know what the story is here? And which package do you need in order to watch them?

Sky and Virgin agreed a deal last week to have them put on, the deal will run till 2011.
Not sure which package you need to be on, though I doubt it will be the basic one.

We're on Virgin XL. Is that enough, or will we need a Sky add-on type thing?
I'd imagine XL will be sufficient. Have you tried looking on the website?

About bloody time, I have all the Sky Sports channels and Setanta yet no Sky Sports News which was fecking annoying at times when the games werent on.

the medium pack gets sky 3 and the sky news channels, the Large pack get sky 1,2,3 plus sky news and xl covers the lot which includes the sky real lives and arts channels.

at least I can get to watch Sky Sports News again, Setanta's version on a Saturday is shit and they tend to cut off half way through the game to concentrate on the live game they are showing later
