Quality player definitley one for the future. i think we should definitely attempt to sign him, while he is relatively cheap.

No doubt longballpool will sign him and just strengthen their squad whilst our scoust sit on their feckin arses

He was on trial here together with Matthew Etherington. We rejected both and both went to Spurs from Peterborough.

Conclusions.
1 Peterborough are better at unearthing talent than we are.
2 Spurs are better at recognising talent than we are.

I doubt we'd get him on the cheap, he's a very good player with lots of energy and pace and could well be an alternative to Becks. Spurs won't sell him anyway, but if he was to become avaliable, we should make a move, rather than have him at Arse or Poo.

Is that so, blinkered one?

But at present they are clearly not at the same level

I'd say Itchy and " " were on a par to be honest.

Obviously not, but had they both gone opposite directions ie Davies to Utd & Chadders to P'Borough it could have been the opposite. You can never tell with young players, sure things can turn into nothing vice versa.
You win some & you loose some, no point in whinging about it.

Point taken. I don't always disagree with you

;)

I chatted about simon davies with a fellow red in another forum and this was his response:

The other Simon Davies was an almighty F*CK up. The scouts found him and brought him to the club, the entire back room was adamant he should be signed but Fergie vetoed it and sent him back to Peterborough.

Can anyone verify that it was Fergie who kicked him out? If so, this was a truly a major cock-up.

relatively cheap??
  Are you mad? He'd cost a bloody fortune. He's 22 and one of the best right sided players in the premiership.Did you see this guy for Wales against Italy?I bet the bloody Italians did.
IMO Simon Davies isn't a cheap prospect,He's already cemented himself in the Spurs team and has shown he's ready to mix it with the best of them at international level.
If he came on the market ALL the top euro teams would be sniffing.

The one that got away hey? I remember he was on trial ot OT but we didnt want him at the time, i was abit dissapointed at the time and now it looks like Fergie got it wrong, although i guess at the time the thinking was Chadwick was of similar age and talent what was the point in buying another one?

he may be from the spurs but hes a future star...
and martin ferguson is a gay scout he should have tried to sign some other guy not forlan whos goal scoring streak is two than goes and plays crap again
