Is this the most covered song ever?

We are of course talking The Isley Brothers, not Tears For Fears, I'm not sure if anyone has bothered to cover the latter.



It's probably a fun song to sing to be fair. Is there a best version then or does anyone have a favourite?

In the 60's a song was often covered number of times within a year of it's release.

Don't think it's fair to talk about covering a song if it's not on an album. Every band does various covers live. That's totally different than releasing a cover as a part of an album.

That's true, although a lot of the above did release it in some shape or form.

Maybe I should have asked if it was the most widely performed or something. I just wanted an excuse to post a lot of live performances from the 60s, they're almost always great.
