Should those who don't get picked for international duty be given some other purpose?

Some players aren't picked and quite frankly it's disgusting that they aren't doing some proper work.

So let's have a little pow wow and synergise a brainstorm for some ideas of what players could do if they aren't called up for national team duty.

  • Players get drafted into some sort of best of the rest team: for example it could be Premier League North XI v Premier League South XI in a charity match. The teams are drawn somewhat randomly and they play a friendly match
  • Players take part in some kind of public exhibition/competition: it could be who can hit the crossbar the most times from the halfway line or some other similar game

How else could players be put to work?

And I don't want any WOKE nonsense.

This had the makings of a good thread if it was a serious one.

The 8 players dropping out of the England squad has been quite controversial and would be interested to see what people thought of it.

Takeshi's Castle Premier League special.

Or we could give our lot a trowel, hi vis vest and a hard hat each and put them to work on a new stadium build. It's not going to build itself.

They might work themselves through recent redcafe threads and correct users that are wrong.

Thought this was going to be a serious thread. Rubbish idea for a serious thread.

Instead, I got this wonderful whimsical thread. Well done.

Spend some time with the British Army to serve their country

Charity game gets set up by request of horsechoker, three lads get injured in game, all out 4-6 weeks. Horsechoker then posts, “what idiot set up a charity game?”

The serious thing to do is rest, light training to keep up fitness, get treatment for any current injuries, watch videos of your own past performances, research your upcoming opponents.

Alternatively, look into your ancestry to see if you can find some country to give you a game.

They should be in the stands supporting their teammates.

But not like any average fan. It should be full kit, painted faces, and I don’t want to see any of them cnuts seated at any point. If the other players can RUN around on the field, they have no excuse not to stand and jump around.

Any of them whose voice isn’t completely gone by the end of the match should be punished.

Aren't loads of people related to genghis khan? I reckon Mongolia could give quite a few people call ups.

This would be a good ending that fans would like to see. However giving some players a rest at some point is always handy. Two games a week is hard. Week in, week out, no matter how much you are paid.
If you want to see other players supporting "their" teams I suggest you look elsewhere than here.
