Should Rio..............

walk straight back into the side after the performances of Wes, Mikael & O'Shea in his absence. I say yes, as he is one fo the best central defenders in the world.

No he shouldn't because the back four havent let a goal in for the last five matches.

This is the best United defending I have seen for a very, very long time. Not only are we not conceding but we dont look like doing so.

Simple answer isn't it.

It doesn't really matter if Rio is a better defender than Wes or Silvestre. At the moment the partnership between those two is unbeatable, and although Rio may be better individually, the team as a whole wouldn't be so strong.

5 clean sheets in a row, the first time in about 10 years that's happened.

Only as a substitute, when we are comfortably leading in my opinion. Our boys currently playing are more than just taking care of business. They are being just simply cut throat good. We cannot change this formula just on someone else's reputation. Form counts and we have to continue with this. Sad for you, Rio, that you had to see such an impregnable Manchester United defence develop in your absence from the side... You'll have your time in the defence, though; just bide by it, Rio.

He will get the chance when one of the others make that chance available for him. Untill then, the current back four deserve to play instead. I'm sure SAF sees it that way.

Rio must be 7 times better than Sami Hyypia, or Fergie wouldn't have paid £30m for him??

Hyypia isnt as fast as blanc

Blanc! i'd forgotten clean about him. Surely he won't play anymore, considering the performances Silvestre, Brown, O'Shea ang Neville have all put in at centre-back?

Rio is still very young and there will be plenty of opportunities for him to get back into the side but at the moment there is absolutley no reason to disrupt the Wes / Micky partnership. Quite where this leaves Larry I don't know but perhaps he could fulfill a useful defence coaching role for the Club instead of doing the same in France as has been recently suggested.

I'd be very suprised if SAF puts Rio straight back in when fit, he'll have to fight for his place just like anyone else.

Another scouser trying his hand at sarcasm.
You are not worthy of your nic. And your manager looks like a gnome.
