It's clearly another offside debate.

The football focus team on ESPN agreed it should have stayed because of the nature of the close call.

i thought it was clearly offside and the linesman made a great decision to raise his flag.

i didn't mind not having gotten that one as we looked very much like take the game from the start.

any opinions?

Close, but was offside.

But I was more confident after the finish.

Knew that we would score.

quote from one of the football focus panelists:

"the goal should have stood.. the rules should be changed to state 'offside should only be called when it's clearly offside, and not as close as this'"

i thought that was the most ludicrous thing i've ever heard any one said on TV!

well.. except for Sepp Blatter and his crazy ideas of coz.

Not much to discuss really. I thought the goal should've stood but who cares?

However, I do think we're bound to see a few close calls go our way in the near future.

too close to call..

if its that close the advantage has to go to the striker..

thats the rules..

but hey, who cares.

Strange decision with the Arse goal yesterday though</strong><hr></blockquote>

that's what i thought! they've been having decisions going their ways lately. can't complain much tho, we've had that luxury for years and years.

I thought he was clearly level, and certainly not ahead and in that case benefit of the doubt goes to the striker. But in a way it was good that it wasn't allowed as it might have geed them up too early, as it was they didn't have enough time to fight back completely.

In a way i'm glad it didn't stand. Would have just given the bitters an excuse to whine and moan about us winning it cause of a ref's decision.

Beat you fair and fecking square..

Jerzy Dudek is a red, he hates scousers! \o/
