Should Durkin be relegated?

I reserve my judgment on the sending off of Van Bronkhorst because even the TV replay was not quite clear to me whether he tripped or dived.

But how Dudek and Henchoz remained on the field was criminal. I thought that Henchoz was not the last man initially. But the TV replay showed that he was. And how Dudek's was even clearer.

I hope someone lodges a complaint about this.

On the decision not to punish Dudek, Durkin said: "I just felt that the challenge he made was careless and I think that people need to understand that not every challenge that is careless is a yellow or red card."

Will someone please tell me if a careless mistimed tackle in the box when you're the only one between the striker and the goal is or is not a sending off offence?

I've only seen it once but while the contact seemed minimal there also didn't seem to be any attempt to claim a penalty.

Shame Durkin wasn't ref when Henry was snipered in the box against United.

Why don't we just relegate all the Referees?
We can not run from the problem and eventually the Premiership will have no decent Referees.
What would help Refs would be for the FA to clear up the rules for them.
Referees must be able to make judgement on the same rules, so the FA must clarify if a tackle from behind is a booking, or if a dive is a booking etc.
For instance, when a player raises his hands, a referee doesn't know what to do, so if the FA made the Rules clearer it would help.
Relegating a Referee is no the solution.

No way did Van Brockhorst appeal for a penalty...he fell got up and was jogging back ....load of bollox Ghergin! Shame you have not got the guts to say you made a mistake!

I agree with you MOT - Van B didn't appeal for a pen, so what was the problem?
