Would it work in football?Iam watching lacrosse atm and they have a 60 second shot clock.

I am not advocating changing the rules of football. It's just a fun thought experiment thinking how the sport would change if it had a shot clock.
 
Shot clock in football would be totally shite.

I think a timing system like they have in American Football/Rugby would be good. The timing would be taken from the referee and when 90 mins + ET is up the buzzer goes and the next time the ball goes dead it's game over.
 
No, because it would probably take 3 hours to finish a Stoke game.
