Very underrated format in my opinion and perfect for people like me with a shorter than average attention span.

Anyone else like to read short stories? Any favourites whether they be classics written by long buried authors or stories from the 21st Century?

My favourites (although I can't pretend to have read all that many) are probably Edgar Allan Poe's stories. Read some when I was younger that spooked me more than a little and I still love them.

I think The Masque of the Red Death is my favourite too. Very eerie. After that, I really like The Fall of the House of Usher and the ones about Dupin.

I'm still getting around to the dupin stories (as a big fan of Sherlock Holmes short stories and full length novels I should have read them by now) but yeah The fall of the house of usher is another top piece of work.
