I think Man Utd should do all they can over the summer to get Shevchenko. He's got blistering pace, great skills, and a good shot. I think he was the top scorer in Serie A for 2 years running. He would be a great addition to our squad and imo would link up very well with Ruud.

Been shite ever since he returned from injury though. SOME (certainly not all, Sheva is incredibly respected in Serie A and especially by the Milan fans) AC Milan fans moaning on their forums about his form and wondering whether he has lost is.

he'll come good. ideal partner for ruud, i must say.

Shevchenko will find form again and he has age on his side. He's also scored the winner against Real Madrid so I wouldn't call him "shite" since returning.

He just needs first team football, God only knows why Inzaghi is above him in the pecking order!?!? wtf!!! United should really considor buying him and moving his whole family over from Ukraine to get them away from the mafia.

Long Live Shevers :)

I think Sheva will be a very good signing. However, there are other players we need to look at. For example, Recoba of Inter.

yeh Recoba with his "8million a year + bus fares money" for him to slope around the pitch not doing much.

Shevchenko is perfect but we'll never get him. Milan won't let us. He's the one striker they have followed since very early stage, and they do rate him highly. Having followed ManUtd transfer news for years, I can tell you that we were very much interested in him 5-6 years back. That was when he just emerged as one of the most talented young striker in Europe. But Milan was there first and there was no way for us to get him back then. In my opinion, he's now every bit as good as Ronaldo, perhaps better. He may not have performed to his best lately, but I can think of many excellent players to have left Milan coz they hadn't perform, only to become outstanding later at other clubs.

agreed. he was watched but utd couldnt get a look in. dont think wé'd get sheva, except for an obscene amount of money which could be better expended on strengthening the squad.
So says the venerable pie chef :D

Another I have to disagree with, dont rate him that highly, is a good player sure but i dont think he would fit in and I dont really want him. As for Recoba, no way. Another talented player and all but he isnt for us i dont think, too much wages and too big a fee for him, another would i would say, could do better.

Transfer guru Alessandro Moggi believes Andriy Shevchenko will make a move overseas this summer.

The son of Juventus director general Luciano Moggi revealed the rumour in an interview with the ‘Gazzetta dello Sport’.

“I see far too much attention around Shevchenko,” said the owner of the GEA agency that represents Alessandro Nesta, among others.

“Milan have been building this squad over the years, but Shevchenko has too many admirers around the world, especially overseas.”

Real Madrid confirmed this year that they had a £50m bid for the Ukrainian rejected, but following a difficult campaign it is possible Milan will not say no a second time.

Manchester United are also said to be interested in the former Dynamo Kiev hero as a partner for Ruud Van Nistelrooy.

The Rossoneri have continually denied reports that Shevchenko is on the market as stories about rows with Coach Carlo Ancelotti and teammate Pippo Inzaghi continue to fill the local newspapers.

It has been a particularly difficult season for him, as Shev has been sidelined for much of the campaign with a series of injuries.

Giggs for Shevchenko swap?

No way, a player who apparently used to be good. I never thought too highly of him really, he was never much better than ok, I know he has alot of admirers and fair play to them but he isnt someone i want.

whys inzaghi above the pecking order? because ancelotti usually plays with one striker, until recently, and shevchenko was injured and inzagi got over 1 goal a game.

hes actually been very good recently, man of the match when he beat juventus...although we had bad tactics.

he would be a very good buy, and would score so many goals in the premiership it isnt funny, but milan rejected a 53million bid from real madrid, and hes very good friends with the president of milan who helped save shevas fathers life by arranged especially for life saving surgery.
