Shevchenko is coming

Reliable sources of mine in Milan have seen Sir Alex with Shevchenko in a posh restraunt talking. The general attitude in Milan suggest that Shevchenko is definitley leaving the Rossoneri when the transfer window reopens. Pre-contract agreements have already been made and rumours suggest a possible part-exchange with Ryan Giggs or Juan Veron who is unsettled and does not enjoy the grim weather nor pace of the premiership...
so the Champions League looks set to return to the Theatre of Dreams (where it belongs)

apart from the fact that he is cup tied. Though would be good for league and next years campaign. Surprised if Milan were looking for a left sided player with serginho, rivaldo and kaladze already at club and veron certainly wouldnt be needed as they have rui costa, rivaldo, pirlo and seedorf as creative midfielders/attackers.

I'm gonna be honest here! As much as I love United. I don't really see Sheva leaving a beautiful city like Milan to move to England, and even more so that Milan are the best team in Europe at the moment. We're building up false hopes with guys like Sheva. He'd cost nearer 40 plus million which I'm quite sure Peter Kenyon ain't willing to fund. Unless of course, you unload Veron first, and even then you can't guarantee you will recoup anything in the viscinity of what we paid for him

Unfortunately England still has a bad reputation in Italy (not as much in Spain). Crespo said today that playing English teams in Europe is his worst nightmare (he didn't just mean that they are good).

Getting Veron was a coup. We didn't get Nesta (he wouldn't come) and we won't get Sheva.

Remember that Sheva is Ukranian and therefore even Manchester may seem beautiful to him ;)

You make a good point. Ukraine is actually quite a cold place and despite the fact that Milan may seem more sunny, etc to you, Shevchenko is a professional who would have to weigh his options and if he isn't getting first team action in Milan, then he may well consider a move to Manchester.

Milan - beautiful? It is the grimmest of the northern italian cities (only Turin comes close). cold industrial business town, with a nice cathedral. colder than manchester in the winter.

If we were talking Rome or Florence, then i'd agree. But Milan? No way.

Mancred is right. Milan is in the Industrial north...nice grub though!

I spent 5 days out there when we drew 1-1 with Inter (still dont know how Berg cleared that ball off Salas's nose!). It is pretty grim.

As for Sheva, quite apart from the benefits to the team, I'm praying he comes to OT. One of my best mates know's him and I'd be able to get tickets to any Man Utd match (and a few players lounge passes too)

(still grinning)
:D

Sheva won`t leave Milan.
His injury made everyone cast doubts at his far-out skills .
Now when Andrey is ok Ancelotti realises he can`t do without his best striker.Sheva proves that he`s irraplacable for them.He can single-handedly save a match.Inzaghi`s in decline at the moment and Sheva`s AC`s only hope.Sheva was born to be a forward.

I think it is going to take alot more than just Sheva, a heafty contract, and living rent free in a Villa to get Giggs out of Manchester.Maybe it will be Veron, then again maybe much ado about nothing. Three weeks seems far to long to wait.

It could hardly be Giggs anyway, he from Manchester so he'd hardly be unsettled by the weather and the pace of the game in thelast 10 years has hardly been a problem for him  Its all just pure speculation and I cant see Seba being let go until the summer.

cant see giggsy leaving

This will happen around the same time hell freezes over!
