They went there own ways for there own reasons!
Ruud & Ole had a decent partnership together - so should Teddy or Cole have stayed to sit on the bench?
I think not!</strong><hr></blockquote>
It is puzzling tho, that SAF had this new system in mind, and yet let Teddy go.

I think Fergie presumed like the rest of us inlucding the man himself that Paul Scholes would be perfect for that system with Giggs as another option.
The fact that Scholes failed so miserably in that position is what i cant get my head around. From the very start and i mean last July when it was first mentioned his heart didnt seem to be in it.

I don't think anything could've changed Teddy's mind. He wanted first-team football and when Ruud came he was just not gonna get that. Also, his favourite club Spurs wanted him, and you knew he wouldn't turn that down, especially because they offered him a two-year deal, while the PLC only gave him one year.

I think it was well documented that Teddy would have stayed if he'd been offered a two year deal.

I still believe he would have joined Spurs because of the lure of first-team football. Anyway, the PLC didn't allow that so there is no point talking about it.
