Dont know much about him, but the last few games he has played he has been electric. I don't think it's a coincidence Wigan have been playing much better since having him in there team regularly.

He has good movement, solid passing, and for a little guy he is strong and quick with decent skills too.

Tonight he definitely put himself in the shop window this summer IMO.

on that performance we could certainly do worse!

Big fish in a small pond at Celtic, failure at Villa and now a run of form in an awful team in another big fish, small pond scenario.

He's 29, are you on a WUM or what.

I'm not saying fergie sign him sign him!

But he looks a decent player, would fit right into a 3 man midfield and would be a cheap deal IMO.

everyone wants us to sign the likes of Maloney and then they moan when we havent tried buying the iniestas of the world.

I signed him on an old FM once. He was good.

Although I realise that probably means very little in the real world.

Always wondered why he never made more of an impact on club and international level because he always looked a talented player. I understand him not succeeding at Villa because of homesickness but why didn't he have more success at international level?

He wasn't even that good at Celtic. Techinically he is good, however he goes missing in games and he isn't very brave. He has had injuries throughout his career and the fact he has only managed 10 league games this season would suggest that he still has those injury problems. He'll probably continue to do well for Wigan but that is his level.

Ignoring the forum this thread is in, i always liked Maloney as a player.
in his first season with Celtic, was always buzzing around. decent player.

I never said i wanted us too sign him, i was just interested in him as the last few games he has been very good.

At chelsea last week he bossed the game there too.

Can we not discuss a player without everybody saying HAHA OMFG LOLZ U SAYED SIGN MALONEY

You do want us to sign him, admit it. You love him. Adam loves Maloney!

 1 thing i was amazed at was how fast he was, his legs are approximately 15 inches long, but he stepped over and dusted jones down the line.

Could not believe it.

Although he's been around the squad for a number of years, he's never produced the run of performances to nail down a place in the national team. He's not been helped that his best run of form (around 2006) coincided with an upturn in Scotland's fortunes and he found it difficult to break into an established unit. In particular with McFadden delivering match-winning performances there was not a lot of room left for further creative midfielders whose unpredictability meant they were just as likely to go missing as make a decisive impact. Nowadays the likes of Naismith, Adam and Morrison are higher up in the pecking order.

He'll never be good enough for United all the time he has a hole in his arse.

Not too far off if you call him the Scottish Iniesta though, so I can see where the OP is coming from.

Just capped off a barcelona like goal for wigan.

Shaun "messi" Maloney.

Still not United quality...

I know, i probably should of put this in the FF, but i wasnt too sure on the rules of that at the time.

"anyway" he and wigan have had some turn around, they look a completely different team!
