I predict a long and painful night for Mosley after his showing against Mayorga
Margarito doesn't stop punching. He's got a heck of a motor. Sugar Shane is in for a long, long night.
Its just a case of when he starts P.Will got off before him and he lost but he has been promising to start earlier but its yet to be seen
Looking forward to this. Margarito's one of my favourite fighters and I've always been a Mosley fan too. Margarito's iron chin and insane punch output should win this one for him. Mosley doesn't throw combos like he used to. He's been shown to be vulnerable to uppercuts several times in his career as well, and Margarito's uppercuts are brutal.
CLK makes a good point that I hadn't thought of though. Margarito has started slow too often, and if Shane wins the early rounds he could make it competitive.

mosley is very tough never been stopped so i aint sure if even Margarito will even stopp him but if someone can do it it, it will be him
Mosley took 2 attempts to make the 147 limit whilst Margarito came in at 145.8
Surprised that Margarito came in underweight as he reportedly put on alot of weight after the Cotto fight. Hope he's not weight drained a la De La Hoya against Pacquaio. Can't fecking wait for this.

yeah, i know. Duran is an all time legend and a step (or 3) above Margarito. BUT, Margarito is a good fighter. and he was favourite tonight.

Beofre the match, Margarito was caught with a plaster like substance in his gloves now him and his people are in trouble and people are questioning the Cotto fight because they are thinking how did Cotto's face end up like that. I personally will be fecking angry if he did use plaster on Cotto.

yeah i watched the Cotto fight.
if anything, shouldn't Cotto be looking at a rematch with Margarito before he gets a shot at Shane!?
Just watched the fight, awesome display by Mosley, slick and sharp.
Mosley was really turning his knuckle when throwing the hooks. He was literally banging Margarito away
Stunning performance from Mosley. His hand speed and footwork were on another level to Margarito's, and he had the physical strength and mental will to force Margarito backwards, which Cotto couldn't do against Margarito even when he was winning rounds. I don't recall him throwing combinations like that or showing such destructive power since he was a lightweight about a decade ago. To do it against a wrecking ball like Margarito is mindblowing. I never dreamt he would inflict more damage on him than Cotto could, never mind win every round and knock him out.
i think sugar shane is a great fighter but you just never know if he is clean or not.

That is a tough one.
In all honesty I never doubted that Hopkins could still go with the best of them and couldn't believe the typical fashion of American boxing fans and writters when they had written him off as past it when he lost to Calzaghe.
Where as from the start I thought Mosley would be made to look a fool by Margarito, so I'd probably go with him solely due to the fact that he showed he can still step it up with the best.

Pavlik went up to 170 and didn't handle it at all well. Hopkins' performance was outstanding, but the weight did play a huge part in Pavlik's battering.
Pavlik has stated he'll never fight at that weight again.

Margarito isnt a better boxer than pavlik. I was discussing this the other day, Pavlik is a better fundemental boxer than Margarito his double jab then right hand is probably the most effective combo in boxing.
I think he hit harder than margarito, as he has 1 punch kayo power whereas Margarito's punches tend to wear you down gradually.
Margarito has a better chin and can put his punchers together better and can pressure an opponent more effectively than Pavlik but thats about it

better fighter, and i stand by it. especially Pavlik at 170, he wasn't the fighter he normally is. and B Hop pulled out an amazing performance, which made Pavlik look even more useless at the weight.
i think what Pac did to De La Hoya shocked more people, but De La Hoya brought virtually nothing. he fought as though he'd never even seen Pac fight before! i thought before the fight (and said so on these forums somewhere) that i thought Pac's hand speed would just be too much for De La Hoya. but, i was shocked at how De La Hoya fought from first bell.
so i'd go for Mosley's performance again.

LOOOOOOOOOL (Im a Pavlik fan too, in terms of active fighter Id say Hopkins first Cotto second Pavlik 3rd) Margarito's heart hasnt really been tested he has never been put in trouble and come through it.
When Pavlik won his Undisputed Middleweight championship he had to come from getting knocked down and then knocking out Jermain Taylor
