Right so television is a bit shit at the moment. The only current series I'm watching is Peep Show and I'm catching up with Weeds and Soprano's while there is nothing else on. Obviously we have new series of Lost, House, Heroes etc to look forward to but what of the new shows that are coming out? For me there are two;

Dollhouse

In Dollhouse, Dushku plays a young woman named Echo, a member of a group of people known as "Actives" or "Dolls" who volunteered for the work in the Dollhouse. They give up five years of their lives, and at the end they receive a large sum of money and no memory of anything they did for the Dollhouse. The Dolls have had their personalities wiped clean so they can be imprinted with any number of new personas, including memory, muscle memory, skills, and language, for different assignments. They're then hired out for particular jobs, crimes, fantasies, and occasional good deeds. On missions, Actives are monitored internally (and remotely) by Handlers. In between tasks, they are mind-wiped into a child-like state and live in a futuristic dormitory/laboratory, a hidden facility nicknamed "The Dollhouse". The story follows Echo, who begins, in her mind-wiped state, to become self-aware.

Beyond Dushku's character, the show will also revolve around the people who run the mysterious "Dollhouse" and two other "Dolls", Victor and Sierra, who are friendly with Echo. Although the Actives are ostensibly volunteers, the operation is highly illegal and under constant threat from Paul Smith, a determined federal agent who has heard a rumor about the dolls on one end and an insane rogue Active on the other.

Fringe

Fringe is the fourth TV Series co-created by J. J. Abrams (Felicity, Alias, Lost) and also his fourth collaboration with co-creators Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman (Alias, Mission Impossible III, Star Trek). It is produced by Warner Bros./Bad Robot, and deals with a research scientist named Walter Bishop (who Orci describes as "Frankenstein mixed with Albert Einstein"), his son, and a female FBI agent who brings them back together. The show is being described as a cross between The X-Files, Altered States and The Twilight Zone.[citation needed] Like Abrams' previous TV shows, it will have an overarching mythology. A two-hour, $10,000,000 pilot is being produced,[citation needed] where Walter is in a mental hospital. Jeff Pinkner will serve as executive producer/showrunner.[1] The Fringe series premiere is scheduled for August 26, 2008 at 8:00 p.m. ET.[2]

I just downloaded the first two episodes of "Fear Itself"... will only 13 episodes be made, but looks interesting. Haven't watched the two eps. yet.

i thought it would be a load of crap then i saw the first 2 episodes on telly, they only made 9 eps which is a shame because i thought it was a good show.

The new 30 Rock series (whenever thst is out).

That first one looks great. Anything by Joss Wheedon should be great.

Also, Eliza Dusku wants to have my babies.

The fifth House and Entourage seasons.

You have special taste my friend. 30 Rock is one of my favourite series but nobody I know seems to have heard of it.

For those who need reminding who Eliza Dushku is.

Well since Whedon is doing Dollhouse then that is something to look forward to

Surprising that he's working with FOX again after the Firefly debacle though

Stop gaying up my thread (without me)

Surely they're not making more Scrubs Lambs? It's kinda like flogging a horse with HIV just before it becomes full blown AIDS.

Although I kind of agree with you (too many series run on for far too long), yes they are apparently doing a season 8. I'm still looking forward to it though, and the rest of 7.

...LOST Season 5 :)
Fookin hell , they still trying to get off that island? I got bored half way through series 1.

Just build a raft FFS. Swiss Family Robinson did it!

I am watching Mutual Friends atm which is pretty good.

The majority of them are off it.

Dexter - weird shit but absolute class

When is the second series coming back here?

The first episode got leaked onto the net but it's officially back on the 28th.

Don't really watch much TV but...

Spooks: used to be a good show - did they kill it off?
Top Gear: about cars, funny, and includes some mad stunts.

Season 4 of supernatural.

Supernatural is awesome.
