Seedorf wants to play at Old Trafford

It means he likes it.

It means that it's a great stadium, and I'm not going to disagree with him.

The scousers might like to call it "Old Toilet", and I like that, just shows how bitter they are that we have a 5 star UEFA ranked stadium with a capacity of 68,000, when they have that old shed.

Very good player, excellent engine, a Davids wannabe, but unfortunately similiar final ball atrocities like Giggs! :(

Some people want perfection, and you are never going to find it within humans.

When was the last time Anfield was really on-song? And I mean buzzing, not just a few mindless brats having a pop when Gary Nev goes to take a throw-in.

Firstly United11, I'm not knocking Giggs perse, but his below average crossing of the last 4-5 seasons, which is astonishing for a player of his ability. The number of crosses that fail to get past the first defender is unbelievably frustrating - he has all the ability in the world, & should be among the top 3-4 players year in, year out but the fact that he's not is damning & a pity because he's so skilful on the ball, he's got superb close control & is actually very hard-working & a good tackler of the ball. He's also a dead-ball expert who strikes a good free-kick & corner kick.

Unfortunately when he's on a run, he somehow fails to produce the kind of crosses a player of his ability should produce! :(

WeasteDevil, I don't know how old you are but you'd agree with me if you saw Giggs when he first appeared on the scene as a 17 year-old - he DID have everything, including being able to deliver very good crosses - so why the sudden decline of this particular ability these past 4-5 seasons?

Is it wrong to expect a decent standard from a player with his ability especially when he's shown he has it?

ps - George Best comes to mind to refute your suggestion that noone's perfect, football-wise. ;)

Now we'll see every AC/Juve player linked with us : Seedorf, Thuram, Buffon, Dida, Sheva, Nesta, Davids, Maldini, Rivaldo... they all want to come to UTD.

Also, Giggs, Beckham, Veron are heading the opposite way.

still dont understand why fergie go for rio instead of nesta last summer?
i'm sure we will get him for less than 30m..and some extra money to spend on other player..

he doesn't want to come?wages too high?

Good - we need a bit of a shake up. Can we get Lippi in for Fergie as well? ;)

BTW, I'm reliable informed that I myself have achieved perfection...

Nesta is a superb defender, but I thought he wanted to stay in Italy.

And plus Fergie, probably didn't want to deal with Lazio ever again.

Lippi's a great and apparently very good friends with Sir Alex.

He doesn't speak English though, and has lost 3 out of 4 Champion's League finals. :(

Seedorf's average.....a keano and davids wannabe....but is nowhere near to there class....

Seedorf to Man Utd....No way!! <img src="graemlins/nono.gif" border="0" alt="[No No]" />

kkcbl is right about Giggs' crossing. I once read a stat in one of the broadsheets:

number of crosses Giggs makes that reach a team mate - 7%.

He's nothing like keano or Davids! Seedorf's a completely different player..

Davids wannabe <img src="graemlins/houllier.gif" border="0" alt="[Houllier]" />

How do they get to be good friends if neither of them speak each other's language?

Actually, on a more general level is English the lingua franca among coaches in Europe (like when they meet up at those UEFA meetings)?

You don't know him well. He is absolutely diferent of Kean or Davids. He always has an offensive way of thinking, although many coaches have tried to give him defensive duties, because he's very fast and strong. But he's a very odd player, who doesn't fit really well in any team scheme.

Because of that, and although he is a nice guy, with no conduct troubles, he has been in a lot of good teams (Ajax, Real, Inter, Milan) and he has not lasted at any one (but he won three CL).

I don't think Nesta wants to leave Italy. Last season it looked like Lazio were ready to sell him to us, even though Nesta was vocal about wanting to stay. Fergie went to see Nesta in action and he played a stinker being substituted at half time- coincidence you think?

He got thrashed by Roma, and to be more specific, by Montella!
