Great horse, I remember him racing and he always looked so impressive
I just cannot get over how fast he was. Not only that, but being able to maintain such a speed. When he died his heart weighed 22 lbs, the heaviest heart ever recorded in a racehorse. He was a machine
Sham was also incredible but unfortunately he had Secretariat to contend with during his lifetime so was always going to play second fiddle
A fiddle-playin shit-hot horse with a 22 Lb heart - fooooooooking hell, thats some horse man
I was there that day. I go every year. I've been lucky enough to see all the Triple Crown winners since then. As they say at the track, "That horse ain't human."
