Living in Georgia, everyone thinks the SEC is king of college football. They're all saying USC didn't play anyone worth a crap and shouldn't be national champions, it should be Auburn because the beat Florida and Georgia ( ). But USC didn't play Louisiana Monroe, Louisiana Tech, and The Citadel. And USC did beat OU soundly. Auburn struggled against Virginia Tech, who USC defeated 24-13. I would agree the SEC is stronger than the PAC10 as a whole, but that does not mean the individual (Auburn) is better than another individual (USC). They are not. Auburn is equal to USC at best.

Bring on the playoffs.

SEC, home of LSU, the folks who didn't want to play USC after being declared BcS champs last year. A bit hypocritical of the SEC fans this time around. Maybe the solution to the Championship mess is to NOT invite Oklahoma to the big game.

USC rules...I've been following them and they've been my favorite since the days of Charles White and Marcus Allen...tbh I was a bit scared and nervous going into the game...but it was total domination. I was screaming my headoff with every great play...and how funny was that when the entire Orange Bowl booed "superstar" Ashlee Simpson

frankly Auburn would have fared no better than Oklahoma.

Auburn was garbage against VA Tech.

USC also is putting together another awesome recruiting class.
they signed the number one QB and DE in the nation and there's more to come after this...

nobody is going to stop that offense next year and Dwayne Jarrett's going to be the man.

I won a ton of cash on them last night...laughing all the way to the bank.

Does it matter? It's like the rest of us trying to read one of those cricket posts--assume the person who wrote it had something to tell those who would understand. If you aren't among those who did, you're probably better off anyway.

Shut Up Auburn!!!

What pissed me off is the way Auburn is handling the whole affair. At least when USC was denied their rightly chance of playing in the Sugar Bowl for the title last year, Pete Carrol and co. took it well in public and showed no disrespect to LSU. Ok, so the system sucks, but they showed dignity & grace, and even responded well by soundly beating a good Michigan team in the Rose Bowl.

In contrast to this year, you hear constant whining from Auburn, talking thrash about USC, refused to look at themselves in the mirror despite almost losing the Sugar Bowl to an average VT team (and despite almost an unanimous decision by BOTH AP and Coaches Poll to vote USC No.1) , even telling everyone how they will order themselves championship rings. Talk about total self delusion of grandeur.

USC are easily the best program out there at the moment. Its all down to coaching and Carroll and Chow are the best, and having first dibs on virtually all Cali athletes doesn't hurt either. Theyre having a similar run to that of Miami's about 4 years ago. No doubt my Canes will be back next year.

Maybe, but SC are now recruiting far & wide. Even talented USC players like Dwayne Jarret & Mike Williams are all from Florida. SC have a pretty good allure now. Troy could conquer for a few more seasons yet.

Auburn would've got spanked like the bitches they are. I'll give VTech credit, because they played good football towards the end of the season. But for Auburn to even make a claim for the BCS title, they should've beaten them soundly.

BTW, should've been USC last season after OSU lost the Big 10 ... got their ass whooped, if I remember correctly.

Now, being a Miami fan, I didn't really care about the BCS this year. Figures Brock Berlin would have his best stat year, and we still didn't do shit. Atleast we played a "substantial" team, and we gave them an a foot up the ass too. Miami will be back next year.

ESPN showed highlights of the video game between USC-Auburn. Wasn't close. USC won 50-7.

But it was only a video game played without any human interaction (was played by computer). I still think USC would win on the field against Auburn.

its kinda sad that college football, for all its big following & big business, cannot have a clear cut winner because of greed within the BCS. I'd definitely go for a final game to declare a true winner. But for this year, bad system or not, I believe USC is the clear cut winner.

I hear ESPN are already forecasting the top 10 for next season. Think it goes something like this:

1. USC
2. Texas
3. Michigan
4. Miami
5. Oklahoma (what the??)
6. Tennessee
7. Iowa
8. Florida
9. Louisville
10. LSU

not sure if folks would agree...

The early forecasting of Top 10s is part of the problem. Teams get locked into spots and stay there if they don't lose. Last year USC and Oklahoma were at the top preseason and stayed there, while Auburn was #17 and could never pass them (even if they should have, but I don't think they should have) unless they lost.
