i just wanna get my facts straight, what has veron done this season that has been so terrible? in europe he has arguably been our best player this season and he HAS IMPROVED domestically this season.ok hes no rivaldo but hes a world class player.
I would just like 2 know who thinks he is a load of shite and who thinks hes a quality player and would hope 4 him to be at this club for many years 2 come.

Some people just like to bitch and blame our poor early season form on individual players. Hell, most people here only profess to hate him because it seems "Cool" to pick on the (at the time) Club's biggest signing.

Dont get me wrong, he hasnt turned it on in the premiership enough for me to sing his praises to any degree, but IF he is given time on the ball he is awesome. Its a pity that creative players of his calibre cannot adjust in the premiership as well as in teh other European leagues. I dare say Rivaldo or Zidane wouldnt be able to set the premiership alight either.

*shrugs* People will disagree though.

i actually agree quite a bit with your comment TBH.

but you never really know about some players until they actually come to play in the EPL.

and anyway, i still think Veron will make it if he persists and if SAF persists. it may cost us another year wihout a title.. but you never know, it could be worth it. we have to wait and see.

Thats the problem, he wont get time on the ball in the prem, he needs to adjust his game for English football but he doesnt seem able to. to much of the fancy dan stuff and not enough of the simple stuff is his problem.
The european game is not quite so high tempo so he is able to do better there, but at the end of the day if you dont finish in the top 3 at home you wont even be in the champions league...

If Veron had been bought from bradford for 0.5mil he would be struggling to get in the first team at all based on his performances to date. His reputation and price tag are the main factors in him getting playing time right now.
