Just got my copy and have to say I highly recommend it to all United fans.

The presentation and picture quality are excellent. I will never by it on video again that's for sure.

On the playing front, it really makes you appreciate the value of Ruud and Ole. Plus it confirms what I have suspected all along. Veron was involved in quite a few of our goals last season.

So many if only's too. Forlan almost putting us into the CL final for example.

Was it exciting watching Man Utd lift all the trophies in the 01/02 season? ... oh wait a moment :D

no, but it was good to enjoy the many highlights from last season. Funnily enough, I can still appreciate that last season was only dissapointing when compared to the success of the last 12 years. CL qualification and semi's of the CL were good achievements for a team that lost 9 matches.

Getting one of the best strikers in Europe and pairing him with one of the best finishers in the world (Ole) was very satisfying.

I accept you are a scouser looking for a cheap dig at united, but I was hoping to promote a few fellow UNITED fans into appraising the merits from last season.

If we add Finnan, Duff and Ayala, I think United will be very strong contenders to win the league again.

I also reckon Liverpool will have a very good season again themselves, unfortunately ;)

French/scouse bastards!!!

Watch Liverpool's 01/02 Preview, you'll see we lifted the Super Cup and Charity shield, might not be the best trophies around, but we beat 2 top teams to win them, and its 2 more things than Utd won! :D

Man Utd picked up a few equally prestigous tubberware trophy's in our far east tour. You dont see us bragging about them.

Do you really think that the charity shield and super cup are worth two shites? If so your a sad individual.

For those of you that have bought the DVD, did it cost you £19.99 because that is the only price I have seen in most shops. If you have got it cheaper, can you recommend any places. I have checked eBay but still no luck.

Id rather have a top thrill a minute season with no trophies than a mostly boring season with 2 as you say worthless friendly trophies

the charity shield is so important its not even on the dvd

Yeah, that amused me too. The DVD has the preseason games from the far east tour and even the match against Bury but no Charity Shield

A serious question:
Do you think it would be included if you won it?

I think it probably would have been and I am disappointed in them for that, at least they didn't commit the ultimate hypocrisy of counting Ruud's goal in his seasons' tally. It's not even like we have anything to be ashamed of about our performance in that match, if anything it was a potted version of the whole season with United starting too slowly and then pressing up til the end.

I assume you are a 'Pool fan from the tone of your question so are you really that proud of The Charity Shield? Especially given your teams poor performance and the assistance you received from Mr D'Urso, Henchoz managed to get away with 2 blatant handballs including a fine diving save . It's only a friendly match and United will lose no sleep over it's loss and I am sure the Scousers will crow about the win on their video, it's a shame it was missed from ours though as I would love to see "Handball" Henchoz doing what comes naturally all over again.

No, that's where you are wrong, I don't support any Brittish teams, I just enjoy football.
I just found it strange that they won't include Charity Shield (no matter it's not counted as big game) but put the tour of far east in it. Didn't think about it when posted that earlier post but I realized that the far east tour is included only to get the Asians to buy the DVD more => to get more money to PLC.

AND before you get to it, it's not a bad thing to give the fans clips of the far east tour, not at all. Not necessary but I don't think anyone will complain he'll see the tour too.

I don't rate Charity Shield by the way. European Super Cup is not a big game either but it takes something to get there.

It hadn't occurred to me that it was another way of hooking the asian fans but you are probably spot on, I looked for last season's review 12 months ago as I had just moved out here and had missed the last few matches of the season in the hubub but couldn't find it anywhere. This years is everywhere even though it was a less succesful season.

But the Bury match?

Oh yeah, that was to hook me :p doh!

A typical scouser... ...

Scousers generally seem to get upset at derogatory names that United fans (in the true spirit of tribalism) use to describe our Liverpudlian cousins...

But the only term that they themselves use to describe Man United (in the true spirit of one "joke" fits all) is "Scum"...

That scouse sense of humour eh......

Is it dying on its feet?..... ......

I myself am a regular contributor on KopTalk...

And I go to a Leeds site.....

I do this in the true spirit of "KNOW YOUR ENEMY"... :D ...

It's something to do and all football fans are pretty much the same everywhere...
