I'm a Gooner.I believe David Seaman is the best Goalie in an Arsenal shirt in the last 30 odd years (yes, even better than Jennings who probably had his best years at Spurs).
But,sad to say,he has lost mobility.I don't believe he is necessarily the best England has these days (to be honest ,I would give Robinson a chance). But he still plays for England, though, possibly no more after tonight, and I for one, won't criticise an England player because of the club he plays for.I support Beckham,Scholes ,Gerrard,Owen etc. when they play for England (even Neville,God forbid!, and Heskey)
I want to praise Seaman, not bury him.But it's up to you Mancs to dish the dirt,if that makes you feel good.</strong><hr></blockquote>
I agree with you on that I also support all the scousers and gooners players when they play for England... but we are all understandably upset with the performances he's put up for England lately.
Yes he's still performaing marvelously in some games with Arsenal, but England are not a team that can score shitloads of goals to cover up for Seaman's mistakes like the Arsenal team.
We need to get our defence wrapped up because the likes of Owen and Heskey won't get us too many goals these days.
We definitely missed our central defenders, but they played too well to lose to mistakes from Seaman... in the league he can always make up for it, in international games it's almost an impossibility. He's going to get Sven the sack and he himself a sad retirement.
Quit now seaman, before it's all too late to save your red face!
