Tragic really. Especially since the first was a refreshing addition to the genre and one of my favourite teen slasher flicks.

Oh dear. The first movie was good, but as with a lot of franchises, it becomes more about the money than the substance.

The first one was just excellent, the opening scene with the killer stalking Drew Barrymore in her house was nerve shredding. The second one was good and the third was decent. Being such a fan of the trilogy, I'm kind of in two minds about a fourth film. On one hand I would like to see how they'd do it and what the plot would be but on the otherhand, I wouldn't want them completely destroying the whole franchise by doing a shit film.

I read the other day that Neve Campbell has definitely said no to the fourth film.

I have absolutely no idea how they will produce a storyline capable of fueling another three of these movies.

I enjoyed the originals, but I don't hold out much hope for this movie (or movies).
